not really much of an entry but The Knife is from sweeden and they are a brother/sister duo that does music in the area of electro clash. Their album, "deep cuts" fell into my lap and i think its great. check out the track "heartbeat". the video for heartbeat is also chill.
here is a long boring story with a cool ending. so i recent had to get a new mobile phone because my nokia 3390 got messed a few month before my contract was up. so instead of paying top dollar though my provider for a new phone i checked out ebay. that made me happy that i had t-mobile because i was able to switch the SIM cards easy. didnt have to call anyone saying i got a new phone. all my phone book info AND my own cell number swicthed over w/o having to do anything. so after talking with kari about cellphones i decided to get the T-300 Series phone from Sony Ericsson. i was sold when she told me about the camera attachment and it was on the cheap side of camera phones. ive seen camera phones and came to the conclusion that they all suck. but when she showed me her moblog [mobile web log] from textamerica, that was it, i needed one. so after i got the phone and the MCA-25 camera attachment i started my own textamerica moblog.
so i was content with this and its kinda slow to take and send pics but still fun. after showing matt the moblog he got interested in the workings of it and wanted to see if it could be implemented into blog software like MT with out having to go through textamerica. along comes Mfop2! which so far kicks some ass. so if you want to see the blog i set up for Mfop2 [still in its infancy] check out My Phone Has A Camera. and if you have a camera on your phone let me know. i am still messing around with it but would be nice to have some guest contributors.
i had the pleasure of attending the opening of a gallery show titled "CUTOUT." last night. the show featured two boston area artists, Nick Zaremba and Heather Burke. heather has a website with some of her work up at www.heatherburke.com.
her work was very very cool. 1940's/50's americana style. quality work.
here is a painting from her website:

heathers images of the golden years of americana were evenly juxtaposed with the neo graffiti urban installation and paintings by nick zaremba. he plans of having a site up soon but when i told him i wanted to see more he slipped me a mini cd with some of his works in jpeg format. which is great because now you can see a section of the extremely large wall he painted in the gallery.
i advise ya'll to go check the show out at the Harbor Gallery located at UMass Boston, 100 morrissey Blvd. McCormack Hall. 617-287-7988
the show will be on display through the 26th of september.
