WHALE RIDER the movie
if you have not seen it yet. i highly suggest renting Whale Rider. its just an amazing film. the closest ive come to crying from a film in a while. not to say its depressing, just the opposite in fact. its just really good. i'd say its a good date movie or alone movie. even kids may like it even though some of the shit would be over thier heads. im not going to review it here because i would not do a good enough job but i think i have seen more films than the average person and that my taste in movies is decent so me just saying that this is a great movie should be worth something. sure you may not think its a good as i do but you will like it. if you watch it and dont like it, get back to me about it because i would like to hear from the one retard out there that did not like this movie. and that person can go rent 2 fast 2 furious.
Well here you go. Im the "one retard out there" who didn't like the movie. In my "opinion", it was too slow. Slow movies are fine but when the tension isn't strong enough it turns into a clockwatcher. Interesting, but a yawner.
Posted by: SOJO at January 27, 2004 02:54 PMyeah actually i have found a few people were not into it. but i also knew it would be a slower paced movie going into it. i kinda liken the pace to something like "dancer in the dark". actually that move was way slow. but i am glad you voiced your opinion. when i wrote the post i had just watched it and it made me tear up, which never happens, and i still think its great today but i could see where some people would not like it.

They have been so, frequently and outrageously, both in other countries and in this. But I do say, that in all disputes between them and their rulers, the presumption is at least upon a par in favour of the people.
