i had the pleasure of attending the opening of a gallery show titled "CUTOUT." last night. the show featured two boston area artists, Nick Zaremba and Heather Burke. heather has a website with some of her work up at www.heatherburke.com.
her work was very very cool. 1940's/50's americana style. quality work.
here is a painting from her website:

heathers images of the golden years of americana were evenly juxtaposed with the neo graffiti urban installation and paintings by nick zaremba. he plans of having a site up soon but when i told him i wanted to see more he slipped me a mini cd with some of his works in jpeg format. which is great because now you can see a section of the extremely large wall he painted in the gallery.
i advise ya'll to go check the show out at the Harbor Gallery located at UMass Boston, 100 morrissey Blvd. McCormack Hall. 617-287-7988
the show will be on display through the 26th of september.
Thanks for reminding me to check that out. Was the show you went to the opening already?
