So this guy buys a 17" apple powerbook [drool worthy] and the latch was faulty and the screen shattered. check out his apple page of pictures before and after the accident here
so because this was apple's fuckup because of the latch he should send it back and get it fixed right? hell yeah but check out this video he made after he got it back from apple here
it came back with MORE damage?! this is nuts it would make me cry. i love apple but this is not the first time i have heard of the repair guys not fixing shit. keep checking in to http://macnet2.com/
im sure there is a longer and better story there but this is just the main crap of the story, you want details hit thier site.
Screens aren't covered by any of Apple's warranties.
He broke his screen, wasn't a defective screen, but an accidental breakage.
Posted by: THEM at May 6, 2003 11:57 PMah that sucks. i know the screen wasnt defective but he says the latch was defective. which should be covered. it gets grey when its the broken latch that lead to the screen breakage because then you can say alot of things are at fault due to something elses fault. i still think its shitty. i wouldnt get a 17" anyway. too much surface area to break :P. but even if the shit wasnt covered. and he sent it back, it came back with a more damaged screen, more dings, dirty lines, AND the latch wasnt fixed.
